1. Overview

FlightBoard (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the FlightBoard platform accessible at flightboard.app (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about you when you use our Service.

By using FlightBoard you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never see your plaintext password).

Club and aircraft data: Information you enter into the Service, including club name, airport identifier, aircraft tail numbers, reservation records, flight logs, squawks, and inspection records.

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and approximate time of access. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your card number or payment details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Service (scheduling, reservations, flight logging, squawk tracking).
• To send transactional emails — account confirmation, password reset, member invites, and booking reminders.
• To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe.
• To enforce plan limits and usage policies.
• To respond to support requests.
• To improve the reliability and features of the Service.

We do not sell your personal information or flight data to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security (RLS) policies that ensure each flying club can only access its own data. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Stripe for payment processing, and Resend for transactional email. Each is a GDPR-compliant data processor.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or your club is deleted, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days, except where required to be retained by law (e.g., billing records).

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@flightboard.app. Club owners can delete their club and associated data from the admin panel.

7. Cookies

FlightBoard uses only session cookies necessary for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
